We’re facing a climate and nature emergency – the greatest ever threat to our existence and a disaster for the natural world.  

Evidence is mounting that radical and transformative action is required urgently to put West Yorkshire on course to a climate-friendly future.

In May 2021, West Yorkshire will elect its first Metro Mayor. Metro Mayors have huge powers and resources to deliver that clean, green future. They are also highly influential in persuading others to take action, locally and nationally.

We’re asking Mayoral candidates to commit to delivering a robust and ambitious plan. Our 10 point Climate Action Plan sets out what the elected Mayor will need to do to tackle climate change and improve our natural environment.

We need your help to take the message to candidates that the people of West Yorkshire want ambitious action to tackle the climate crisis.
