As the genocide in Gaza continues, it is vital that we grow and strengthen organising for Palestinian liberation. We know that the past 18 months have radicalised many Jews in solidarity with Palestine, creating a crisis in Jewish support for zionism around the globe. However, there’s been a lack of in-depth political discussion and education in the UK around the potential for Jewish anti-zionist praxis in solidarity with Palestine. This is an absolutely critical moment to raise the level of political consciousness within our communities so that we can deepen solidarity, take strategic action grounded in critical analysis, and speak out confidently as anti-zionist Jews for a free Palestine!
This day of community political education aims to build on and unify the various pieces of Jewish organising for Palestine that have been happening over the past 18 months. Bringing together both experienced organisers and those new to Palestine solidarity work, we hope that the movement can come to a clear anti-zionist consensus, and hold this as a strong and unified collective stance.
Our speakers will bring a strong materialist analysis, and historical and political context to contemporary Jewish anti-zionism, tie it into our broader anti-racist and anti-fascist politics, and offer analytical clarity, while opening conversations on what’s next for our movement.
Join your comrades for a day of community political education and conversation, held on Sunday 18th May, 10am to 5pm at the Rose Lipman Building, London N1 5SF.
A vegetarian lunch will be provided (13:20 - 14:20), and tea and coffee will be flowing throughout the day. We have also organised childcare, please let us know if you’re bringing kids when you book your tickets.
