When you think of green communities, what kinds of places do you think of? The days when most people lived on rural farms are long gone. More than 80% of Americans, and more than half of the worId’s population live in developed metropolitan areas. This shift has made creating, preserving and protecting nature in the urban realm more important than ever, as we hope to sustain livable cities for generations to come. In order to address the challenges of prioritizing green space in cities, we need a more inclusive, connected movement of stakeholders to stand in solidarity to promote urban greening activities. Join Sarah Anderson, CEO of urban sustainability firm Lillie Leaf Solutions, to learn how to overcome barriers to community engagement with urban nature. She will discuss how community greening advocate and practitioners can magnify their impact, supporting healthy green cities for all.
