Welcome to the registration page for UAEM Europe's annual conference!

Our members from all across Europe come together every spring to share our passion, ideas, questions, and inspiration for how we, as part of the global access to medicines movement, can take action to meet the world's most pressing health needs. This year, an international organizing team, including the UAEM Netherlands chapter, invites you to Amsterdam!

Your registration gets you: 3 days of sessions, accommodations for Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th, and breakfast/lunch for Saturday and Sunday as well as snacks throughout the sessions.

Early Bird registration ends March 1st.

Regular Conference Registration ends March 30th.

Who comes to the UAEM Europe conference?

Lots of members attend, but membership is not required to come to the UAEM conference.

Any students, researchers, academics, professors, or university alumni are welcome here who want to take their first or next step in pushing universities and governments to proudly support access to essential medicines around the world. Universities play a critical role in the drug development process, especially early-stage research, and offer a great place to discuss how we can work together for a healthier, fairer future.

What happens at the conference?

The conference is a place for people to gather who feel strongly that people's health should come before profit. Our sessions throughout the weekend are informed by that. Sessions are hosted by student members, UAEM alumni, professors, researchers, lawyers, access to medicines experts, and activists.

You will make new friends, learn about the global health ecosystem, how universities play a role in access to medicines, tactics we can use to win better policies for health equity, and opportunities to take action after you leave the conference. You might even do some dancing or karaoke at the social.

These sessions are educational, participatory, and grounded in UAEM's values, mission, and vision.

Where:

Friday through Sunday, our UAEM Netherlands will host attendees at a local university in Amsterdam.

Why:

Action creates the change the world needs. With social media, news outlets, the rising sea levels and rising destructive politics across the world, it is understandable to feel overwhelmed and powerless. Collective action is the antidote to injustice.

This year, we are going beyond commitments and getting comfortable taking real, concrete steps to remove barriers in access to medicines together.
