About the event

Calling all early career paid canvassers and field organizers coming off of campaigns in the recent election cycle! Join New Working Majority, a top recruitment firm in the progressive political movement, on Thursday 1/23 at 2pm EST, to learn about how to transition from a field position on an electoral campaign to a long term organizing position at a basebuilding organization.

You'll learn the difference between field and long term organizing, some long term organizing basics, and tips for talking about your field experience in organizing interviews. There will also be a Q&A session for anyone looking to ask specific questions of our experienced recruiters and hiring managers. After the event, you'll receive an email with resources to help you find your next job.

This webinar is just $20 because we want to make it accessible to folks who are either recently became or will soon become unemployed. You can also sponsor a ticket so a former field staffer can attend for free; both types of tickets are available below. About the recruiters:

• Alina Sipp-Alpers, our Recruitment and Data Manager, is an organizer and expert recruitment consultant at New Working Majority. She comes with years of experience recruiting entry level organizers, many of whom come from entry level field positions. She is passionate about finding and retaining talented staff in the movement and works to do that every day.

• Matthew Braunginn, our Senior Consultant, who transitioned from being a Field Organizer on President Obama's 2008 Presidential Campaign, to a grassroots organizer, currently does narrative storytelling, digital organizing, and recruitment consulting with New Working Majority. He’s passionate about helping base-building movement organizations bring in talented organizers to create a more effective movement.

Refund policy: Participants must request a refund 5 days before the event (by 5pm EST on 1/18) to be issued a full refund.
