This summer, hundreds of thousands of people mobilized in outrage at the stories of mothers and fathers separated from their children and internment camps for immigrant families fleeing violence and seeking asylum. We have seen the cruelty of ICE, the institution that carries out unjust anti-immigrant policies and persecutes parents for daring to dream of giving their children a better life. We cannot wait for the White House and Congress to act. On October 1, we are taking action by targeting the institutions ICE relies on to function day in and day out. **Mayors, local police departments, and county commissioners allow ICE to use local jails to detain families. **Private tech companies develop their surveillance technology. **Airlines that deport people away from their families. **Schools, DMVs and hospitals that share confidential records with ICE to persecute undocumented people.It is our moral duty to demand that our cities, schools, and companies end their cooperation with ICE. It is time to use our power as residents, students, workers, and consumers to send a clear message: if you do business with ICE, then we won’t do business with you!
