As some lawmakers increasingly restrict reproductive freedom across the country, it’s important now more than ever for Congress to pass national legislation to protect access to the full range of reproductive healthcare, including in vitro fertilization (IVF).

The Senate is voting this week on the Right to IVF Act, an important piece of legislation that will:

• establish a national right to IVF;
• expand fertility treatment coverage for the military and veterans;
• require IVF coverage under employer-sponsored health plans and public insurance plans; and
• require the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program carriers to cover IVF.
