AT&T Mobility Newsletter | April 4

If you're receiving this newsletter your CWA Local identities you as a AT&T Mobility Mobilizer, Steward, or Activist.

Welcome to the first newsletter just for AT&T Mobility Mobilizers! This newsletter is designed to give you ideas, tools, and information to help in your fight for a fair contract! We hope you find it useful.

As we fight for a decent contract, it is people like you, volunteer mobilizers, who will determine how much pressure this greedy corporation feels at the bargaining table. A strong mobilization effort is key to winning a good contract.

Please reply to this email with your ideas for future newsletters!

MOBILIZATION ALERT! TELL CEO STEPHENSON: STOP FLUSHING OUR JOBS

There's a new mobilization activity underway! We're writing on fake dollar bills what we're fighting for, and putting them "in the toilet" to be delivered to the company. Actually, it's just a toilet seat with a clear plastic bag attached. ? This is a fun way to get your co-workers more engaged. Ask your local for the dollar bills if you haven't received them yet.

CWA Local 1122 in Buffalo, NY was first out the gate with the action. Colleen Brenann, chief steward, visited the retail stores in her area and took pictures of the action to share on social media.

"The Cricket stores in the area are new to the Local. I wanted to show them how important mobilization is. After seeing how much our CEO made they were angry and ready to take their first actions as union members. They are wearing buttons, hanging the 'we support our bargaining team' poster on their lockers, and putting signs in their car windows." said Colleen. "I tell people - this isn't just my fight it's yours. We are all in this together. If you want changes, you have to do something about it. Our contract gives us a voice."

PRACTICE PICKETING

Send a message that your location is ready to do whatever it takes to win a decent contract!

As a mobilizer, you should make sure your location is doing practice picketing - even if it's just on a break!

Get signs from your Local and send your pics to UnityAtMobility@cwa-union.org

MOBILIZATION WIN: Buffalo Hospital Workers Get Their Money and Staffing Back

Strong Mobilization is what gets us decent contracts. Want some mobilization ideas from a successful campaign? Hear from Ann Converso (a registered nurse and CWA organizer) and Patrick Weisansal (a radiologic technologist and  CWA Local 1168 member) on their contract fight at Catholic Health in Buffalo, NY.

After members mobilized like never before and community pressure grew, Catholic Health finally presented an agreement that workers wanted.
