Bishopston & Ashley Down by-election

A photo of James with text that says "James Crawford for Bishopston & Ashley Down"

On 24 August, there will be a by-election in Bishopston & Ashley Down ward. Our candidate James Crawford has been working hard to hold this critical seat for the Green Party, but he needs your help. Labour have been out in force to try and win this seat from us - something that would see them overtake us as the largest party on the Council and give them momentum before next year's local elections. It is so important we hold this seat, and you can help make sure that happens.

James grew up in Bishopston and knows the area well. He's already been working with other Green Councillors on local issues. He works as a utilities engineer including on large-scale developments, so has a lot of skills and experience that would be hugely valuable on the Council.

What needs doing?

There are a few things we know make a huge difference to wining local elections:
  • Delivering leaflets to let residents know about James and why he'd be a great Councillor
  • Knocking on doors to find out how residents plan to vote
  • Going back to our supporters on polling day (24 Aug) to remind them to vote!

Please see the links to the right to sign up for one of our sessions. Any time you can spare will be hugely appreciated, and could make all the difference.
