Cover COP23 Climate Demonstrations
Every year, many thousands of activists descend on the UN climate negotiations to urge stronger action to combat climate change. From U.S. media coverage, one can scarcely discern that members of the public engage with the COPs at all.
New analysis by Public Citizen’s Cover Climate project examined coverage from 15 media outlets — nine major U.S. newspapers, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News Network, and MSNBC covering COPs held between 2010 and 2016.
