Election Literature Protocol
Election Literature Protocol
Phase One - First draft
The Election Working Group (EWG) outlines literature plans
Election Teams meet to review (door-knocking) surveying results, collate relevant stories and draft literature in Google Doc (or direct to Canva if preferred).
Phase Two - Proofread
First draft of literature sent to elections@exeter.greenparty.org.uk for proofreading and checking that literature meets ‘Target To Win’ (TTW), campaign strategy guidelines, budget allowances etc.
Phase Three - Design and Review
Approved draft returned to Election Teams to apply to relevant design app (canva), if not done so already.
Once the draft is completed in the app it is then sent to elections@exeter.greenparty.org.uk copying in agent@exeter.greenparty.org.uk for review.
Phase Four - Sign off and Print
The Election Coordinator(s) in consultation with the Election Agent will then sign off, or will be referred back to Election teams so any necessary corrections can be made and then signed off.
Signed off literature sent to print.
Phase Five - Delivery
Election teams will process printed literature ready for delivery, liaising with the Exec in case any support is needed in fulfilling delivery.
Phase Six - Process review
The Elections Coordinator(s) check-in with EWG to review:
How the literature round went from inception to delivery to see if any improvements can be made.
To review the impact of each cycle of literature to see what works, what needs amending and what doesn’t work.
For reference: Election Teams consist of Division/Ward Organiser, Target candidate, Division/Ward Councillor(s) and any relevant volunteers such as bundlers, allocators etc.
