How to Run for Dem Committee Training Series

Join PA Together for a series of webinars that demystifies the Democratic Party, shows you how to turn your current activism into more influence within the Democratic Party and how to have more say in the candidates who make it to the ballot! We’re going to shed light on what it means to be a Democratic Committee person, how to run for this party position, the work involved, and how it ties into the Democratic Party at large

To help us protect the values we are fighting for every day, we need legislators who will turn those values into laws. Sometimes, the hardest part of getting people and planet-focus candidates into office is getting them on the ballot in the first place. In elections for every level of office, most candidates that make it onto the ballot are there thanks to party committee endorsements. To ensure that our voices are heard, we must be the ones selecting candidates and making these endorsements. We do that by electing ourselves and our fellow activists as democratic committee members. By becoming a member of your local Democratic Committee you are instrumental in helping to identify and choose candidates who run for office at every level of government from school board to the president.
