Indivisible KC Presents - Kansas Week of April 3
Who's testifying? Who's got immunity? Who voted and who vetoed? If your head is spinning from the week in current events, you're not alone. But we've got your back, all set with opportunities to make your voices heard in both Washington, DC and Topeka.
Here's what we've got going on this week:
As always, Resist Trump Tuesday (and Thursday!) with office visits to Senator Moran and Senator Roberts, as well as Congressman Kevin Yoder (KS-3). We're opposing the drastic funding cuts to climate change and scientific research programs that have been proposed in the Trump Budget and Congressional legislation.
Can't make it to an in-person visit? No problem! We've got a letter campaign ready for you.
As the 2017 session draws down, issues in Topeka are heating up! This week, we wrote our legislators to encourage them to override the Governor's veto on KanCare (Medicaid) expansion. We didn't win that fight this time, but stay tuned, because the session isn't over yet.
Finally, don't miss our special, April recess event: Spring Training with IKC! We're offering practical, hands-on training to making your voice heard. RSVP now and join us on April 9th.
Keep calling and keep sending your letters. You could call it resistance. We call it democracy.
