Medicaid Expansion: A No-Brainer.

Expanding Medicaid would help 82,000 low-income Wisconsinites gain access to the health care they need at a price they can afford. This proposal would also draw in $1.6 billion in new federal funds that would make health care better for everyone in Wisconsin.

Expanding Medicaid would improve care for the elderly and individuals with disabilities, expand dental care, enhance behavioral and mental health, and make opioid addiction treatment more affordable.

In addition, our state will save money by expanding Medicaid – $324 million over the next two years, to be exact.

And the plan will lower premiums in the private markets, according to a recent study.
