Raise the Heat on Commbank - Don't Risk The Reef

The community has spoken and it ishave ade are wining. This August CommBank indicated it will cease relations with Adani, the Indian mining giant pushing the plans to open up the Galilee Basin and expand the Abbot Point coal port in the Great Barrier Reef.

This is an ongoing campaign on  CommBank to end all financing and support for coal mining in the Galilee Basin and Australia wide.

Why CommBank

Commonwealth Bank has been the largest Australian financier of fossil fuel expansion on the Reef.

They have indicated they will pull out of this project and we are keeping the pressure on to ensure they do this.

CommBank has also privately indicated they will commence divestment from all coal projects in Australia and announce this at their November 2015 AGM.

Our plan is to keep the pressure on CommBank to ensure they lead the way in Fossil Fuel divestment and re-investment in renewable energy.

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel yet this campaign will stay alive and vibrant until CommBank becomes the COMMunity Bank.
