As early as tomorrow, the PA House of Representatives will be voting on two critical pieces of legislation that will impact our schools, and the futures of working Pennsylvanians.

PA Budget Vote

After the State Senate today passed a compromise budget (to which House leadership and the Governor have previously agreed), there is unrest among some rank and file House members. Funding for our public schools is on the line for this year and for years to come!

Pension Plunder: SB 1082

Also, the State Senate today passed SB 1082 a bill that guts the modest pensions of educators and other public workers ( Click here to see how your Senator voted). Even worse, SB 1082 allows legislators to opt out of the slashed pensions that will become the norm for school and state workers!

Our elected leaders need to hear from us on these two items NOW!

Tell the PA House to pass a budget that invests in our schoolchildren, and tell them NOT to plunder the retirement savings of Pennsylvania's workers!
