FAQ

What's a phone zap?

A phone zap is a collective way to put pressure on elected officials to stand up for a free Palestine. When we call elected officials together, their staff must log our calls to take note of our demands. The “zap” is us forcing attention on the issue because we’re collectively flooding inboxes at the same time.

What happens during a phone zap?

You'll join a Zoom meeting for 75 minutes. The first 25 minutes will be dedicated to our guest speaker and we'll get to learn together each month on a different topic relating to Palestine. After that, we'll provide tips for calling your MP and go over templates and talking points together. Then, we'll all go on mute and call government representatives individually while still remaining in the Zoom room. For the last 5 minutes of the hour, we'll connect again to debrief and tally how many calls and emails were made!

How do I know what to say?

Templates, talking points, and scripts will be provided, and facilitators will be on hand to help. You will have the opportunity to watch a demo call and ask any questions you may have before calling your MP.

How do I join?

Once you register, you'll get an email with the link to join the Zoom meeting and the option to add the event to your calendar. That's all you need to do in advance!
