PRO Act National Week of Action
The Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act is a significant piece of worker empowerment legislation that would change the power dynamics in America for generations. It gives power back to workers and holds corporations accountable for union-busting.
The PRO Act passed in the House with bipartisan support. President Biden has urged Congress to send it to his desk. Before that can happen, we have to pass it through the Senate.
If 50 senators support the PRO Act, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will bring the bill to the floor for a vote. Sen. Angus King (Maine) and Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) both recently announced their support for the PRO Act. We just need three more senators.
So we’re having a national week of action, April 26–May 1, to show the Senate that working people want the PRO Act.
There will be panels, a call-in day and a write-in day. All the events are linked on this page. Please join us and tell the Senate: Support working people.
Tuesday: The PRO Act and Freelancers Town Hall
Wednesday: Workers Memorial Day and Worker Safety Write-In Day
Thursday: How the PRO Act Will Help Address Systemic Racism Panel
Friday: PRO Act Call-In Day and The PRO Act: A Pathway to the American Dream Roundtable
