Climate disasters are hurting communities, Wall Street is to blame. This fall, as climate disasters ravage communities, we’re calling for a wave of actions that lay the blame for the extreme weather events ― the heat, fires, hurricanes and floods ― on the banks, insurers and investors funding the climate crisis.
There are two ways that you can get involved:
Find an action near you, and RSVP to attend.
Can’t find an action near you? Organize one! We will be providing training, resources and regular organizers’ calls to support you in your organizing.

Why Wall Street?
The fossil fuel corporations driving the climate crisis depend on the support of the financial sector.
Since the Paris Agreement, Wall Street banks have provided $1.4 trillion in financing to coal, oil, and gas.
Asset managers like BlackRock and Vanguard are the world’s largest investors in the fossil fuel industry.
Insurance companies provide insurance to new fossil fuel projects without which they could not be built.
Our pension funds billions of dollars in companies that are wrecking our climate.
Why Now?
Extreme heat. Wildfires. Hurricanes. Flooding. Already this year, we have witnessed unprecedented numbers of climate disasters. Extreme heat and drought has destroyed crops around the world contributing to food shortages and price spikes. Deadly flooding has devastated huge swathes of Kentucky and Montana. Historic wildfires have torched lands in New Mexico and California. Tens of millions of Americans have sweltered in extreme heat.
And we know that it is only likely to get worse. Historically, some of the worst climate disasters in our history have happened during September and October.
It is essential that people not only connect the dots between the extreme weather harming their communities but also connect the dots between the extreme weather and the corporations that are guilty of driving the climate crisis.
This fall we are going to make sure that everyone knows who to blame for climate disasters: the fossil fuel industry and its Wall Street backers.
