Cosecha Community Potlucks and Action Prep
Cosecha is coordinating nationwide community potlucks to talk about Cosecha and plan actions in support of Cosecha's #TodosNosotros campaign.
Immigrant families and movement allies know that how this country treats immigrants is a barometer of what direction we are headed as a nation.
On November 17, three US Representatives came out to ask the White House for a pardon that would protect the 750,000 Dreamers that fall under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (or DACA).
But that leaves us asking: What about pardons for the 11 million undocumented people in this country?
We cannot ignore the millions of other undocumented immigrants that don’t have temporary protection and have continued to live in fear of deportation. So while we want protection for all DACA recipients, we demand a pardon for the millions of workers in this country as well.
Next week, DREAMers and DACA recipients are taking action to push their Representatives to protect their parents and their community members - the 11 million undocumented people in this country.
In the evening of December 8th, communities are organizing themselves in towns and cities across the country, to have a meal together, hear the story and strategy of Cosecha, and plan actions to stand in solidarity with these brave DREAMers.
Sign up your own community potluck by using the 'Click to Host' button. If you volunteer to host a potluck, we will set you up with a comprehensive Community Potluck guide and all the support you’ll need. Or search for an event near you by entering your Zip Code.
If you don’t see an action in your area right now – and don’t want to plan your own – sign the petition at www.movimientocosecha.com/cosechallies and we will send you information about the closest event near you.
We demand that the #TodosNosotros to protect the millions of undocumented workers and family members in this country. And we demand dignity and respect for the entire immigrant community.
Sign up to host or join a potluck! You will get support in your email as soon as you sign up.
