On August 16th, activists and advocates around the country will go to the local offices of their senators to ask them to support endangered species and the Endangered Species Act.
This action comes at a critical time for protecting imperiled species. A recent report found that species are disappearing at an increasing rate and that one million species are threatened with extinction.
Compounding the crisis, the Trump Administration's Department of Interior is in the process of enacting changes to the Endangered Species Act that will make it much more difficult to protect our vanishing plants, fish, and animals.
Join a Stop Extinction Challenge meeting near you on August 16th and help keep endangered species and the law that protects them safe.
If you don’t have a meeting scheduled, consider just heading into your senator’s office, speaking up for Endangered Species, and dropping off some materials. 30 minutes of your time can make a true difference for the endangered species we love and care about.
If you don't see a meeting listed near you, please look up your senators offices by going to their website. You can find their site at the link here.
