From April 1 through April 9, halfway through the Biden-Harris administration’s first 100 days, Build Back Fossil Free is organizing a nationwide week of action escalating the demand for President Joe Biden to be a real Climate President.
From municipalities and states to the national level, from Line 3 to DAPL to coal plants, our fossil fuel and climate justice fights are interconnected. We’re bringing these fights to the national scale to send a clear message: toxic and unnecessary coal, oil, and gas projects are unacceptable everywhere.
Climate action must center racial justice and Indigenous sovereignty. With record-breaking climate disasters devastating our communities year-round, we are rising up to protect communities, especially Black, Indigenous, poor, and communities of color, from energy sacrifice zones.
As communities take creative and safe action throughout the country -- from banner drops and virtual lobbying, to murals and projections -- our growing & powerful fossil fuel resistance is rising with actions happening throughout the week.
