Invest in Idaho Statewide Organizing Tour
The Crisis: Every Task Force, study, and committee formed over the last several years recognizes that Idaho must invest in a skilled workforce.
Our Solution: Reclaim Idaho has filed its “Invest in Idaho” citizen ballot initiative, which will increase investments in K-12 education in Idaho. Our state is in the middle of a years-long education and jobs crisis that Idaho’s politicians have refused to address. As such, it is necessary for the people of Idaho to weigh in on a solution to this crisis.
The Bottom Line: The “Invest in Idaho” citizen ballot initiative will call for increased investments from corporations – both in-state and out-of-state – as well as Idaho’s richest individuals making $250,000 or more per year. Corporate investments will increase by only 1.075% while Idaho’s richest individuals (those making more than a quarter-million-dollars per year) will only invest 3% more. Together, the initiative is designed to increase investments in K-12 education by $170-200 million annually.
