We’re hitting the streets to protect health care, and your leadership is needed because our lives are on the line.
Congress is working to take away health coverage from 22 million Americans by repealing Obamacare. It will hurt everyone by stealing insurance, but women, transgender people, and marginalized communities will be hit the hardest. Republicans will soon vote on dropping coverage for mothers, people with disabilities, working families, and anyone who is vulnerable.
Although our protests scared them away from voting this week, Senate Republicans have been vowing to destroy Obamacare for years and they will be back!
On Saturday, July 29th, all across the country, hundreds of thousands of people will tell Senators NO to this attack on women, our families and our communities.
Will you come out on the streets to be heard, and seen?
We're partnering with some of the largest citizens' groups in America, and there will be big events in more than a dozen cities. But it's crucial that the Congress sees us protesting everywhere. What we did in January was powerful not just because of the people who showed up in D.C., but also the sister marches--673 of them--in small towns and rural areas all across the nation and the world. That's what we're about -- showing that whoever we are, wherever we live, we will persist, together, in preventing this administration from harming us, our families, and vulnerable people in our communities.
The plan is simple: show up on a busy street corner or another visible location with some friends, some big beautiful protest signs (we've even got suggestions for slogans...) and make some noise!
But someone in your town has to take the first step and sign up to come. Sign up here to organize something in your area on July 29th.
