Biden again pledged to take a series of executive actions to tackle the climate crisis in the wake of sputtering climate negotiations in Congress. But after reportedly considering declaring a climate emergency, he has yet to follow through.

From his first day in office, the People vs. Fossil Fuels coalition has been calling for the President to take strong executive action to declare a climate emergency and stop approving fossil fuel leases, projects and exports. With the latest Congressional setback, now is the time to push Biden to be the climate president using his full executive authority.
