Get involved in a local action outside your local Lloyd's of London Insurer. Bring along your voices, placards, and creative ideas to demand Lloyd's rule out insuring devastating coal projects like the West Cumbrian and Adani coal mines.
Why Lloyd's
Lloyd’s in an insurance market, composed of many underwriters and insurance companies. It is still common practice amongst insurance companies to insure fossil fuel projects. The Lloyd’s marketplace is known for insuring projects that no one else will, such as the Adani coal mine in Australia. Thanks to this insurance, companies are able to dig new coal mines, build new tar sand pipelines, and explore new gas and oil fields.
On the 17th May
After months of Lloyd's offices being shut due to lock down they are open for business on the 17th May. We want to be there for their return, to show them how vital it is they end insurance for coal. We'll be meeting outside offices from 8.30am to speak to staff as they return to work and highlight Lloyd's role in propping up the fossil fuel industry.
