Our yearly Local Convention will take place on Saturday, March 23rd. This is where Seattle DSA sets the direction of democratic socialism in Seattle through bylaw changes, resolutions, and electing new leadership. The working class needs political democracy in order to win socialism, and the first step is organizing as a part of a membership-run party organization. Local Conventions are a pillar of our democratic process where our sovereign membership sets the direction of our chapter for the following year.

This year we will be hearing from speaker Shaun Scott, who will also be seeking SDSA's endorsement for the 43rd WA Legislative District. The Local Convention agenda is available here and the 2024 Convention Compendium is available here. Get more voting information here.

Convention will take place in Fellowship Hall at Seattle First Baptist Church. Parking will not be available at the venue, so we encourage attendees to carpool or look into nearby transit options. The venue is a short walk away from the First Hill Streetcar.
