There is no workforce in the state of Washington that has more at stake in decisions made by the Legislature. The Legislature has control over our wages, benefits, and pensions. They adopt a state budget that determines the funding level for the services we provide. Every year they consider countless bills that can have an impact on everything from our working conditions to our job security.

We are the experts. Lawmakers need to hear from us how we have and continue to serve our communities during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing essential services. Public employees have sacrificed so much the last few years, and it is time for the state to pass across-the-board pay increases in 2022.
