Back by popular demand! NYC DSA political committee event leads will hold a training on persuasion canvassing. Even the grouchiest canvassers who have been set in their canvassing ways for years have said things like "wow, once I applied these skills, I realized I've been canvassing the wrong way for years" or "before, I was IDing 1 or 2 supporters a shift, and now every voter offers me cake or ice cream and friends me on facebook after!"

OK, slight exaggeration, but you get the idea. These tips and tricks work and help make the most use out of your valuable time knocking on doors. Most importantly it'll help you feel more comfortable talking to neighbors, and that is what DSA is doing, lots and lots of talking to neighbors.

Persuasion training will happen 6:30pm-7:30pm, and will be followed by our regular bi-weekly field meeting. If you've taken the training before, feel free to come by at 7:30. Likewise if you've never attended our field meeting, feel free to stick around after the training.
