In honor of Ageism Awareness Day this month, join Changing the Narrative and Denver Public Library for a conversation between Margaret Morganroth Gullette, an internationally renowned scholar and thought leader on ageism, and Janine Vanderburg of Changing the Narrative, a leading U.S. campaign to end ageism.
Gullette is the author of the upcoming (2024) book American Eldercide, about government abandonment of residents of nursing facilities.
Ageism Awareness Day is an opportunity to draw attention to the existence and impact of ageism in our society. The World Health Organization has called ageism a socially accepted form of prejudice that is as damaging as it is pervasive.
