The General Election is here, and there has never been a more important time to get a Green MP from East Anglia!

Join us for a weekend of campaigning with Green Party Co-Leader Adrian Ramsay, who is standing to become the next MP for Waveney Valley.

Our action days are days of fun and excellent company. Full campaign training will be given and you'll go out with Greens from across the country.

We will use our Regional Green Party office as our base for the whole weekend, with some groups going out to door-knock in Diss while others drive in groups to villages in the surrounding area. With an area as huge as the Waveney Valley to cover, a certain amount of driving will necessarily be involved.

SCHEDULE FOR BOTH THE SATURDAY AND THE SUNDAY

  • 10.00-10.30: Rolling arrival: Get a coffee, get teamed up, get trained and head out. Due to the size of the office, we will send the early arrivals out before the later one arrives.
  • 10.30-13.00: First campaigning session
  • 13.00-14.00: Lunch together (in the park or in the office depending on the weather). Please bring or buy your own lunch, or bring some food to share.
  • 14.00-16.30: Second campaigning session
  • 16.30-17.00: Hand all canvassing sheets, maps and equipment back to the point person at the office.
  • 17.00: Trip to the Waterfront pub for those who wish

THE VENUE:

Our Regional Office in Diss will be our base. The address is Navire House, Mere Street, Diss IP22 4AG. It is located a 15 min walk from Diss train station, at the bottom of Mere street, opposite the A1066 from Morrisons. It's next to Aldi and in the same building as William H Brown estate agents. We're on the first floor. There is free parking at Aldi (1 hour), Tesco (2 hours) and Morrisons (3 hours) as well as a number of paid-for parking lots nearby.

We know we can win here!

Stunning election results in the 2023 local elections mean that in the Waveney Valley constituency we now have 12 Green councillors, one more than our main rival the Conservatives. We also have a higher vote share then the Conservatives (43% compared to 34% for the Conservatives). Your help, whether for a full day or just a few hours, will be a major contribution to getting our co-leader elected as the first Green MP in the East.
