Activist Afternoons December 15

Activist Afternoons is a way for all members of our community to gather and take action on the issues and elections we care about.

Thank you for being an awesome activist - we're inspiring others to take action!

Confirmed:

  • Peacekeeper Marshall Training for the Boston Impeachment Rally.  
    Spread the calm. Participate in this two-hour training by Veterans for Peace and be a peacekeeper at the Boston Impeachment Rally (most likely on Tuesday night.) Learn to deescalate and prevent provocateurs from inciting incidents to be used as propaganda against progressive activists.
  • Data Entry Party for the Massachusetts TPS Committee Join us and help immigrants with TPS (Temporary Protected Status). MA TPS Committee members have been organizing diligently in protecting the 450,000+ current TPS holders and their families, as the fight for a path to permanent residency. They need our help organizing their data and contact lists. From 4-5:45 we will take the sign in sheets letters and other contact information to data entry into a google form. Please bring a laptop.   • Swing Left Greater Boston will be sending voter registration letters and forms to likely democrats in Colorado and sending get out the vote letters for a special election in Texas come January.
  • Swing Left Greater Boston will be entering data for the 1000+ new Democratic and party-unaffiliated voters that the voter registration team has registered in Maine. As with the TPS committee above, bring a laptop. The data will be entered into a Google form.
  • CAST will be sending postcards for Michael Schroeder in PA, an environmental activist and history professor running for an open seat in PA's State Senate.

*Might phonebank? Please bring a cellphone, laptop and charger. A headset or pair of earphones is also helpful when calling voters or potential volunteers!*
