The March for Science day of action returns on May 4, 2019. We encourage organizers all around the world to hold events that uphold science & justice in their communities. We support a diversity of events from marching & rallying, to community events, teach-ins, art interventions etc. No event is too big or too small. Whether you're a small group of individuals, or part of a science organization, museum, or community group, we encourage you to organize your own event, or we can connect you to March for Science leaders who are planning public events all around the globe.
Tips:
To host, you’ll need to sign up for an Action Network account. If you’re a March for Science satellite team or a community group organizing an event, instead of a person’s name, you should enter the name of your organization, as this name will show up as the event’s host.
Please use an active email. This email will receive RSVP alerts for your event.
Please create an event even if you haven’t secured or finalized a location, so that it can appear on the map. The event location can be changed later. We suggest your city’s town hall as a default/placeholder location.
Include a Facebook event link, website link, how to volunteer, and contact details in the event description.
To publish the event, you'll need to go through two prompts. Please click "Save & Go To Next Step", AND then click “Save & Publish” on the next page. Your event needs to be published to appear on the map.
After publishing your event, please remember to share your event link with your network to encourage people to RSVP. You can update your attendees by using the “email attendees” function.
