Adirondack March for Democracy
Start: Saturday, January 20, 2018• 4:00 PM
End: Saturday, January 20, 2018• 5:00 PM
The weekend of January 20-21, 2018, marks the Anniversary of the First Women's March.
To celebrate this, we in North Creek, NY, are organizing an Adirondack March for Democracy on Saturday, January 20th from 4:00pm - 5:00pm*.
We may be a small community, but we still have a Voice!
From the Women’s March to the Women’s Convention, we’ve seen how powerful we are when we gather together, share space and lift each other up. It's been a year and we need to come together with others all over the world.
Vibrant, diverse communities are the backbone of this country and we need to stand together in solidarity as defenders of human rights and to protect the civil rights, health and safety of all members of our society.
Solidarity means supporting and taking collective action for a common aim. It does
not mean that we will agree on everything; we are a coalition of
organizations and individuals. Unity of purpose, yes! Diversity of focus
and strategy, yes! Sense of humor, certainly!
So bring your signs, bring your enthusiasm, bring your neighbors! All men, women, children, dogs and cats are welcome!
We will meet at Tannery Pond Community Center and then march down the sidewalk along Main Street to Riverside Park.
Together, we will show this administration that we are not backing down.
Join Adirondack March for Democracy in North Creek, NY for the first anniversary of the Women's March.
*For anyone interested, there is also a Women's March in Glens Falls on January 20th from 12pm-2pm...so you can do both!
