Prison Workplace Issues: As the number of people incarcerated grows and prison get overcrowded, the working conditions in prison become increasingly unsafe and sometimes life threatening for our union workers.
Restoration of Rights: Entire communities are over incarcerated, and returning citizens face lack of jobs and restrictions on public benefits and voting rights.
Privatization: Corporations are making millions of dollars by incarcerating entire communities, they are profiting from our broken criminal justice system.
Economic and Social Impact: Over-incarceration has created a huge burden for tax payers, devastated communities of color and has driven the school to prison pipeline.
