Stand Up KC's Fannie Lou Hamer Women's Committee will host a free community screening of, "Anne Braden: Southern Patriot." The film explores the extraordinary life and legacy of this American civil rights leader. Ms. Braden was charged with sedition for attempting to desegregate a Louisville, Kentucky neighborhood in 1954, as part of lifetime of racial justice organizing matched by few whites in American history.
