HEAR YE, HEAR YE! Planet Over Profit is officially landing in the Bay Area, and YOU’RE invited to our chapter launch event!

POP is a youth-led climate justice group building people power and using direct action to take down the fossil fuel industry and the billionaire class hijacking our public sectors, exploiting our labor and planet, and selling our future away.

We’re clear about the problem: racial capitalism. And we’re clear on who’s responsible: billionaires who keep profiting off coal, oil, and gas and refuse to rein in their luxury emissions (private jets, superyachts, cruise vacations) while we evacuate from wildfires on an annual basis, lose our homes, watch our grocery prices skyrocket, and feel our infrastructure crumble.

Silicon Valley is literally sacrificing the climate for AI. Our so-called leaders have proven themselves both incapable of and unwilling to stand up to these greedy capitalists. If our so-called “leaders” won’t hold climate criminals accountable, we have to do it ourselves.

In the Bay Area, we’ll be going after Big Tech, Venture Capital, CA’s cowardly politicians, the whole shebang. We’ll prioritize creating a political and movement home for BIPOC youth, investing big-time in capacity-building and training, and working closely with our movement partners and fellow POP chapters to create campaigns strong and resilient enough to take down our opps and score key victories.

This event and POP generally is open to folks from all backgrounds, whether you’re a seasoned activist or newly curious about getting involved in the movement!
