Start: Sunday, September 25, 202210:00 AM

End: Sunday, September 25, 2022 1:00 PM

Join Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for a cleanup at the Arcata Marsh

The Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, located in Bayside, is a caring community dedicated to the free and open search for spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth. We value the natural environment and respect the interdependence of all life. We aspire to provide a welcoming home to all who join us in pursuing justice, tolerance and compassion, with respect for the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We host weekly Sunday services at 11 am, in person at 24 Fellowship Way, or via Zoom. Find out more about us at: huuf.org.

Volunteers who attend this event will be entered into our weekly prize drawing for a chance to win fun items from local businesses!

Cleanup supplies will be provided, but if you have any of your own gear you'd like to bring, please feel free. This could include gloves, a clipboard, and trash grabbers.

Here at the NEC, we put a big emphasis on data collection and citizen science. The data that our volunteers collect helps us advocate for solutions to the waste issues in our community. We collect data through the NOAA Marine Debris Tracker App, which is free to download from the App store. You can find a short tutorial video about how to use the app here. We will also have paper data cards available for anyone who prefers analog!

Please feel free to reach out with questions about the event. Hope to see you there!
