ARLO: Exposing Animal Cruelty in Labs Near You

Start: 2021-03-24 19:00:00 UTC Eastern Daylight Time (US & Canada) (GMT-04:00)

End: 2021-03-24 20:30:00 UTC Eastern Daylight Time (US & Canada) (GMT-04:00)

This is a virtual event

The animal experimentation industry relies on secrecy to continue business as usual.

That’s why Rise for Animals created the animal protection movement’s first publicly accessible research and transparency tool—the Animal Research Laboratory Overview (ARLO). ARLO aims to expose everything we know about laboratories experimenting on animals across the United States.

This online resource offers tens of thousands of documents we obtained through open records requests filed at the state and federal levels, and hundreds of pieces of information about each animal research laboratory. And best of all, it’s all free for you to use and download, with no registration required.

In this free virtual workshop, you will learn how to use this powerful new resource in its full capacity. You’ll see how to research labs of a certain type, or in a particular area, and get a chance to review those facilities’ records that can be used to expose animal cruelty there. You’ll connect with activists across the country, and learn valuable tips for understanding the records in ARLO.

You’ll receive instructions on how to join the online workshop via email after you RSVP.

*Please note: you’ll want to join this virtual workshop from a computer with a microphone and preferably video, as this will allow you to fully participate in our breakout session.*
