***Background and details***
Tuesday, Nov. 15th------Austinites Rally In Support of Standing Rock Protestors & Against Local Banks Funding of DAPL Pipeline

4pm, Speakers including Ashely Flashe Gordon and others at South Steps of Capitol
5:15pm arrive at Wells Fargo

350 Austin, ATX-EJ, Texas Drought Project, Democratic Socialists of America together with representatives of many other Austin groups, will gather at the South Steps of the Texas Capitol and after hearing speakers march to Wells Fargo bank at 111 Congress Avenue and JP Morgan Chase, 221 W. 6th. The march should arrive at Wells Fargo around 5:15pm.

Wells Fargo has invested around $467M in the pipeline while JPMorgan Chase has put in $312M. These two banks, which have offices in Austin, and many other US and international banks are complicit in the violence used against peaceful protestors and the danger that this crude-oil pipeline and many others like it present to our precious water supplies and our future on this planet. The tribe says the pipeline disturbs sacred sites, infringes on past treaty promises and tribal sovereignity and is a danger to their water supply since it passes beneath the Missouri River.

Donald Trump has around 1m invested in Energy Transfer Partners the builders of the Dakota Access Pipeline.
