Let NY Vote

Be there for history as our legislature votes on Automatic Voter Registration

We began the 2019 legislative session by passing a historic package of voting rights laws — but this was just a beginning. After months of working with the legislature, we now hope to end the session by passing one more law that would register over 1 million New Yorkers.

On Wednesday, we're expecting a vote in both houses on Automatic Voter Registration. This AVR bill — S6457A Gianaris & A8280A Walker — would register the broadest groups of New Yorkers while protecting our most vulnerable populations, and could turn 1 million New Yorkers into 1 million new voters. With the possibility to be implemented at all National Voter Registration Act agencies, this bill would be the most expansive and inclusive in the country in terms of the agencies and populations included.

Join us in Albany this Wednesday, June 19, to advocate for Automatic Voter Registration — and be there as we (hopefully) make history once more.

1. Please RSVP on this form if you're joining us mid-way through the day so we can text you updates

2. Then please write a letter to your reps letting them know that we want a floor vote on Wednesday!
