Town hall to discuss the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid Expansion and healthcare for Coloradans. Calling on Senator Gardner to hear from his constituents, the people who elected him and who demand that he represent our needs, not the political desires of President Trump or Representative Paul Ryan.

We have worked hard here in Colorado with the ACA implementation and Medicaid Expansion and are healthier because of it. We created a state health exchange for people to select and purchase health coverage and expanded the number of Coloradans who receive health insurance through Medicaid. While the Colorado program was not without problems and certainly can be improved, we ask that any federal ACA reform maintain protections for those who have serious health concerns or are unable to otherwise afford healthcare throughout the reform/repair process.

We are a group of Women Living with HIV, allies and community. We know how difficult life was before the ACA implementation and Medicaid expansion in Colorado. People were denied health insurance due to previous existing conditions or were unable to afford insurance policies. They did without medical coverage and they died because of it. We know that for people with ongoing health challenges including diabetes, cancer, asthma and HIV, even a month without health insurance can be a death sentence.

We demand better than this hasty policy shift- Colorado needs you to be better.
