Black Cockatoo Crisis Screening

Start: Tuesday, April 04, 2023 6:30 PM

A poster like graphic for Black Cockatoo Crisis, there is a picture of a black cockatoo with the title and then other details in smaller text

The three species of black cockatoo in Western Australia's southwest are under threat. Habitat loss through land clearing is a major cause of the threat. There are less than 40,000 Carnaby's Cockatoos left, just 4,000 Baudins and around 10,000 red-tailed forest black cockatoos

Directed by Jane Hammond, this new documentary looks at the plight of our special cockatoos and what we can do to stop these threatened species from disappearing forever. The clock is ticking on our black cockatoos. Will we save them in time?

Tickets for this screening can be found at blackcockatoocrisis.com.au/watch-the-movie

WA Forest Alliance as part of the Save the Black Cockatoos Coalition will be presenting information on our current campaigns, asking people to sign actions and have stickers available for sale. We'd love to see you there.

Interested in volunteering on the WAFA stall at a screening? Fill out the form and we'll be in touch with more details.
