Start: Friday, September 16, 2022•12:00 PM
End: Friday, September 16, 2022• 6:00 PM
UCLA CARE at Work in partnership with the Southern California Black Worker Hub, with generous sponsorship from Irvine Foundation, UCLA Labor Center, and Luskin School of Public Affairs are convening Black workers, policymakers, agencies, foundations, and community partners to strengthen collaboration toward a brighter future for Black Workers. The Black Worker Summit is a united space where stakeholders and Black Workers collaborate for the justice and equity solutions required to improve Black futures. Our work serves to realize a California where advancing justice allows for the equity created around Black life to cascade into meaningful Black working conditions that sustain families and build vibrant communities.
Recommendations from CARE at Work’s recent report Essential Stories: Black Worker COVID-19 Economic Health Survey will help inform and guide the policy priorities and essential investments needed to ensure Black Workers thrive.
