Trick or Treat for the Planet

Join us for a Halloween parade starting at Grand Army Plaza under the arch and marching to nearby Park Slope bank branches to deliver our message demanding that Wall Street live up to its climate commitments and stop funding fossil fuel expansion! We will be targeting Chase Bank, Citi Bank, and Bank of America for their role in perpetuating the climate crisis. There will be music, costumes, treats for kids, and petition deliveries. Wear your Halloween best and tell Wall Street we want climate treats, not fossil fuel tricks!

**RAIN DATE: Oct. 22, 11AM

FOR KIDS: We will end at the 3rd Street Playground for lunch and play afterward (12:30pm).

Why blame Wall Street?

Wall Street is fueling the climate crisis, poisoning communities, and causing widespread environmental destruction. The power plants, oil rigs, and pipelines that are harming frontline communities and cooking the planet wouldn’t be possible without Wall Street’s money. So we’re laying the blame at the feet of the big banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and pension funds who are bankrolling the crisis.

This fall, we know we will see a series of climate disasters: wildfires, hurricanes and floods. It is vital that people not only connect the dots between climate change & the extreme weather events, but are able to connect the dots between the extreme weather events and the corporations responsible.

This action is part of a nationwide STMP campaign of actions across the country laying the blame for climate impacts where it belongs: Wall Street's doorstep.
