Upton Park - Boleyn ward?

We'll be joined for this by a special guest from Islington - Green councillor and Green Party Migrant & Refugee Support Spokesperson - Benali Hamdache.

A by-election will be hapenning in Boleyn and Wall End wards, likely at the end of June.

Join Benali Hamdache and the rest of the Newham Greens volunteers to help get the Green message out to residents in Boleyn ward!

It's important that we are out as much as possible over the next few weeks speaking to residents and delivering leaflets that can WIN us this by-election.

We know it works - because that is how we won Stratford Olympic Park to get our two marvelous councillors Nate Higgins and Danny Keeling elected, and indeed Benali Hamdache in Islington - and how Greens across the country are winning elections!

That's why your help is so important. We can't do this without our members and supporters.

We will be delivering leaflets to get out message out to residents.

Everybody is welcome, from experienced campaigners to complete newcomers. Nobody will be asked to campaign alone, and we will make sure to group newcomers with more experienced campaigners.

We'll meet at MIDDAY at The Boleyn Tavern - or you can join us after lunch, or part way through by letting us know on the Whatsapp group (sign up/RSVP for details)

Schedule:

Midday - arrival, welcome briefing and training

12:30pm - set off for our planned activities

2:30pm - break for lunch, return to meeting place

3.30pm - session 2 of our planned activities

5.30pm - end of activities, return to meeting place

When we finish we encourage volunteers to stay to have some food and a well deserved beverage, or two, at the cafe/pub, or move elsewhere, so it's a great opportunity to catch up or meet new people.
