July 4 National Day of Protest
When Women Are Not Free, No One is Free!
INTO THE STREETS to demand the Federal Government must restore Nationwide Legal Abortion Now

In Boston, we will be joining with people all over the country, with these demands. We will be taking this out to the tens of thousands coming to the Charles River Esplanade to celebrate the 4th of July at the Boston Pops Concert - in bold, defiant action and stand.

Here is the question people must answer: how can someone celebrate the 4th as a day of "freedom" when the Supreme Court, the highest judical body in the most powerful country in the world, has just declared that half of humanity is NOT free to make a basic personal decision that will impact their entire lives. if not lead to their death.

We will not stand idly by, while that half of humanity that is female, is forced into unwanted motherhood by rule of illegitmate law and threats of violence. Forced Motherhood IS Female Enslavement! and no person of conscience can stand aside from this battle.

Almost 170 years ago in "What to the American slave, is your 4th of July? Frederick Douglas wrote "your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery; your prayers and hymns, your sermons and thanksgivings, with all your religious parade, and solemnity, are, to him, mere bombast, fraud, deception, impiety, and hypocrisy — a thin veil to cover up crimes which would disgrace a nation of savages."

Today, we live in a different world but the challenge is the same. If we are not prepared to stand up and act on this most fundamental of rights, how can we say that "the shouts of liberty and equality are nothing but hollow mockery" - or worse? Join us on the 4th and going forward.

Charles Circle is street level and the Redline stop has wheelchair accesibility.
