Start: 2023-03-19 19:30:00 UTC Eastern Standard Time (US & Canada) (GMT-05:00)

End: 2023-03-19 21:00:00 UTC Eastern Standard Time (US & Canada) (GMT-05:00)

This is a virtual event

Hosted by Bronx Jews for Climate Action, the workshop is designed for folks in the Riverdale Jewish community interested in climate justice who are ready to learn more and do more.  The workshop will be facilitated by Rachel Landsberg, co-chair of Shomrei Ha’Adamah Dayenu Circle, and Jeff Levy-Lyons, co-director of the Jewish Climate Action Network NYC.

Why this workshop? The Jewish climate movement is growing, as we are seeing and experiencing the impact of climate change on our lives and on the lives of people all around the world. We live in a unique time of opportunity in which bold action can turn the tide, a time in which each of us can make a huge difference for generations to come.

In this gathering of the Jewish community, we will deepen our understanding of the overlapping root causes of the climate crisis and climate injustice, seek wisdom and inspiration from Jewish teachings, and offer concrete steps for individuals and communities to take as we work towards building a sustainable and just world that leaves no one behind.

Join us for this evening of learning, exchange of ideas and exploration of Jewish values that will culminate in opportunities for bold collective action.
