When Albany’s fossil fuel-funded leadership blocked every climate bill last year, we made a plan: sweep them out of office with a slate of climate organizers called Green New York, to pass Build Public Renewables and more.

Our movement to grew so fast, we built the momentum and popular support to push it through the senate. To force opposing legislators to switch sides out of fear of being primaried. All before Election Day.

At the last minute, the establishment undemocratically stepped in to stop us. But we proved once and for all why we need to replace climate denying cowardice with bold climate leadership.

To do it, we must keep the energy that fueled thousands of New Yorkers last week surging through Election Day. Albany went home, but we won’t.
