?Strategies for Mutual Aid: A Panel?
Many groups in the city and surrounding area are providing direct and mutual aid to their comrades and surrounding communities. This panel brings together organizers across these groups to talk about what mutual aid means to them, how they run their programs, and what they see as the future of this work.

♻️Energy Democracy through Public Power NYC♻️
Come learn about the Public Power NYC campaign and how to do energy democracy in your city.

?Theory & Practice: Self Defense ?
As organizers, we learn and develop any number of skills every day in order to be more successful in our organizing. One of those skills is the ability to defend not only ourselves, but our comrades as well. Given how emboldened white supremacist, nazis, and the right have been, it's important we learn how to be safe, and if it comes to it, how to defend ourselves from someone meaning to harm us.

Afternoon I: 1 pm – 2:30 pm
?How to Fundraise without Feeling Bad ?
Is your chapter broke as hell? Do you have trouble paying for stuff like meeting space or printing costs? Well, come on down to the small chapter/working group fundraising workshop! This workshop will teach you how to fundraise in a non-skeevy, non-NGO, non-poor shaming way, because fundraising is about building inclusive working class power. It’s not about making people feel like crap because they can’t contribute money.

?DSA Inquiry Interview ?
Our image of DSA is colored by “The Discourse” online, in ways that fail to make sense of how politics is discussed in working groups and local branches, between comrades and in coalition spaces, in chapters large and small. But any estimation of our political situation must start with the movement as it is, not as we wish it to be, and so Viewpoint is proud to announce an ongoing project: the DSA inquiry. Together with other members of the organization, we’re coordinating large group interviews, asking activists and organizers to reflect on their own political trajectory, the state of the movement, and what measures it will take to “win.”

Afternoon II: 2:45 pm – 4 pm
? Organizing in BumbleF#%K ?
Not all socialists live in Brooklyn (shocking we know). This is a panel on organizing in the suburbs and small cities. We will discuss both the unique challenges faced outside big cities, but also the opportunities of organizing in areas abandoned by party machines, civil society, and even most unions. We will have a particular focus on tenant and socfem organizing.

? Marshalling, Red Rabbit Style ?
This session covers the basics of Marshaling, Security Culture, Strategy and Tactics, Know your Rights, and Jail Support. It includes a participatory de-escalation training. The purpose of this training is to give attendees the tools to form their own marshal teams. We brought buttons. (Continues through lunch.)
